About This Course
Communication is at the heart of good crisis management. As Government communicators, during a crisis it’s our job to ensure the public has access to accurate information, knows the steps the Government is taking to resolve the crisis, and what they should be doing to keep themselves and others safe.
In this course, you’ll learn how to prepare, respond and recover from a crisis. We’ll take you through:
- What a crisis is, and the role of crisis communication
- How to prepare for a crisis and test your crisis communication plans
- What a good crisis communication response looks like
- What to do after a crisis, as your organisation moves into recovery
Throughout the course, you’ll hear from crisis communication experts, and learn from real world examples of how government communications have dealt with crises. At the end of the course, you will get the chance to put your knowledge to the test in a fictional scenario reacting to events as they happen.
