About This Course Government communicators play a key role in communicating with the public. Whether it's telling people about key government policies, providing clarity in a crisis, helping people to access support, or promoting the country on the world stage - communications matter. In many cases, government communications are the only way members of the public hear from their Government. Not only are they an essential lever of governance, but they are a key tool in helping to grow levels of public trust and confidence in government and the Civil Service. This course will explore why it is so important for government communicators to work with candour, and to approach their work with honesty and transparency, as laid out in the Civil Service code.
